Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of
the Parks Canada Agency (PCA) requires the services of a
competent firm, with extensive experience in Radon Remediation
in residential and commercial buildings. The successful bidder
will work together with a multi-disciplinary team, as required,
for the provision of all services required to deliver this
project.
In early 2011 Health Canada oversaw a Radon Testing Program in
Waterton Lakes National Park. According to Health Canada's
guidelines any buildings which exceed a level of 200 Bequerels
per cubic meter (Bq/m3) must be remediated.
The Health Canada testing showed that 11 buildings within the
Waterton Townsite exceed the federal guideline for Radon levels
and must be remediated.
NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.
The site visit will be held on: Thursday, September 6, 2012 at
11:00 AM
Location: Waterton Fire Department, 104 Wildflower Avenue,
Waterton, AB
Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
This PWGSC Office provides procurement services to the public in
English.
