The Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada has received a requirement on behalf of Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Atlantic Research Center (ARC). DRDC maintains two acoustic calibration facilities. The Bedford Basin facility is used primarily for low frequency calibration. The Grove Street location facility is used for high frequencies. The Bedford Basin facility had a data acquisition upgrade in 2014. The Grove Street location upgrade will duplicate that system. Identical systems are required of the compatibility of software interchangeability of components and user familiarization. This improvement will add to the reliability and consistency of results, while enabling more advanced calibration techniques.
