Requirement:
The scope of work for this project is for the upgrade of the existing natural gas distribution system at the Edmonton Maximum Security Institution. Construction includes the removal of the existing sub-surface natural gas lines and replacing them with new piping and upgrading the existing penetrations at various locations where the natural gas is fed into different buildings.
The Edmonton Maximum Security Institution (EMSI) is a maximum-security facility located on Manning Freeway between Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan. The facility is divided into two security zones, maximum-security and segregated maximum-security. The bulk of the work for this project will be taking place outside of the segregation unit.
Construction will be performed during full operation of the facilities, as a result project phasing must be planned to ensure that disruption to the daily operation of the facilities is kept to a minimum. Due to these constraints it is strongly recommended that potential bidders attend the optional site visit.
NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be a site visit on August 5, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interested bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Edmonton Maximum Security Institution, 21611 Meridian St NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y 6E7.

To ensure a fair bidding process, no questions will be answered at the site visit. Please submit all questions via email to a••••••••@••••••••.••.ca. Questions and answers will be posted on buy and sell website.

Value of Project: To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $5,000,000
