Work under this contract comprises of the replacement of both
the existing vehicle gate, and man gate entering the main living
unit courtyard area. This includes the main grade beam and the
installation of two closed circuit camera cables (cameras by
others), and a power and communication manhole. New gates are
to be controlled from the Main Control building. All new power
and control cables, including emergency power, are to be run
underground, to the nearest living unit at Correctional Services
Canada, Bowden Institution, Innisfail, Alberta.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.

NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.

The site visit will be held on: July 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM MDT

Location: The main gates of the Bowden Institution, Innisfail,
AB

Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation. Persons with Criminal
Records may be denied access to the Institution.

This PWGSC Office provides procurement services to the public in
English.
