General Electrical Construction & Maintenance Standing Offer
Canadian Forces Base Comox, Lazo, BC and Other Locations within BC.
Work Description:
Work under this standing offer includes, but not limited to, the provision of qualified electrical tradesmen, electrical technicians and materials for electrical construction work, inspection and/or maintenance for, Canadian Forces Base Comox, H.M.C.S. Quadra, Seal Bay and any other remote sites at which the Officer Commanding, Detachment Comox, Real Property Operations (Pacific) determines work must be performed on an as and when required basis.
Period of Standing Offer: Anticipatory from 1 February, 2019 to 31 January, 2022 for a three year period, with 2 one-year option periods.
It is anticipated that one (1) standing offer will be issued. The estimated value of the standing offer is $1,050,000.00, GST inclusive, for the duration of the 3-year standing offer.
THIS STANDING OFFER CONTAINS A SECURITY REQUIREMENT:
1. The Contractor/Offeror must, at all times during the performance of the Contract/Standing Offer, hold a valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
2. The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) must EACH hold a valid personnel security screening at the level of SECRET or RELIABILITY STATUS as required, granted or approved by CISD/PWGSC.
3. Subcontracts which contain security requirements are NOT to be awarded without the prior written permission of CISD/PWGSC.
Optional Site Visit:
Bidders are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

Instructions: Bidders are to meet at the Military Police Building adjacent to the Main Gate. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.
Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
