CSC is exploring options that will provide secure computing and technology services to facilitate offender rehabilitation, specifically:
Laptop and tablet computers;
Laptop and tablet computer software applications for delivery of:
Communication services (e.g., Video Visitation, email);
Library and Education services;
Controlled Online services (i.e., GC websites, housing);
Institutional services (e.g., institutional forms, scheduling); and
Entertainment services (e.g., music, movies, electronic books);
Digital information storage; and
Supporting infrastructure (e.g., servers, networks).
The key objective of this RFI is to obtain Vendor feedback on available solutions (known henceforth as the “Solution”) to allow for concurrent access to these services by offenders, specific to the needs of CSC This will allow CSC to better identify the types of solutions available on the market and their capabilities.
