Environment Canada, Science and Technology Branch, Air Quality
Research Division, Downsview, Ontario requires the supply,
manufacture and delivery of small, disposable Electrochemical
Concentration Cell (ECC) Ozonesondes (ozone sensors). The
Ozonesondes are designed to plug into some of the radio
transmitters and weather instruments flown on Environment
Canada's weather balloons. These will be used to measure the
ozone layer over Canada, and the data will be used by scientists
and forecast centres around the world.
There is a firm requirement of 385 Ozonesondes that must be
received on or before July 14, 2014. An additional 385 units are
required between April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 and 385 more
between April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.Optional quantities of
up to 100 Ozonesondes may be required for each fiscal year.
It is intended to issue one contract as a result of this
solicitation.
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation
and meet all mandatory requirements to be declared responsive.
The responsive bid with the highest combined rating of technical
merit and price will be recommended for award of a contract.
