The department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to:
Undertake the further development of SpaDES software and framework for integrated modeling and decision making.
Develop additional spatial forecasting models utilizing SpaDES and write interfaces and subroutines for existing freely available datasets, including CASFRI.
Develop subroutines for analyzing and summarizing large numbers of simulation scenario outputs (mostly maps) for decision support tools
Establish linkages to national and regional climate datasets and forecasts
