contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
Work Description:
Work under this contract includes the supply and installation of
all materials, equipment, permits, service connection fees,
labour and services necessary to construct upgrades on Bamfield
SAR Station Marine Facility-Gangway and Float Dock Structure.
Work generally includes but is not limited to the following:
1.) Supply and installation of new reinforced-concrete-infill
steel pipe piles;
2.) Including provision of pile-group guide racks (templates);
3.) Supply, fabrication, transport and installation of
reinforced-concrete floating dock;
4.) Supply, fabrication, transport to site and erection of
aluminum-truss pedestrian/light vehicle walkway including
walkway grating;
5.) Erection of gangway-truss structure: (supply, fabrication
and shipping to site by others);
6.) Supply, fabrication and installation of connection plates
for walkway/gangway interface;
7.) Supply and construction of abutment compact-gravel
foundation, concrete foundation pad and approach slab; and
8.) Construction of aluminum-frame open shelter on float dock.
9.) Supply and installation of 2 new steel piles in existing
timber float.
The project is located at the Bamfield CCG Search & Rescue
Station, 65 Customs House Lane, Bamfield, BC.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site
visit is scheduled on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 @ 11:00am local
time, at 65 Customs House Lane, Bamfield, BC. A maximum of two
(2) representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the
sites.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within sixteen (16) weeks of contract award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost around
$475,000.00.
Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain

provider. Addenda, when issued will be available from the MERX
service provider. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender
(solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at
their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the
tender calling authority of their intention to bid. In all
cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) in the space
provided on the tender form the identification number(s) of the
addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for
their bid.
