RFI Amendment No. 1: This amendment is raised to answer the following question from the industry and make the change to the closing date of this Request for Information (RFI).
************************************************************************
Purpose:
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to request that interested companies provide responses to the questions posed herein. The questions posed are regarding the Canadian Coast Guard’s (CCG) requirement for commercially available offshore boom and associated equipment, which will be used to contain spilled oil offshore in unsheltered waters with a presence of ice and/or debris and/or stricken (decommissioned for disposal) vessels.
Background Information:
The Environmental Response Equipment Modernization (ERE) Project for the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) forms part of the Oceans Protection Plan announced in November 2016. Under the ERE, CCG is renewing its suite of environmental response (ER) equipment, ensuring a robust and strategic national response capability. The ERE is modernizing ER equipment with new technology for strategic ER locations across Canada. Several unique procurements for different types of equipment, including Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, may be required. Several of these procurements have been completed or are in progress.
