The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has a requirement for the provision of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) Surveillance and Sampling Services in the Alberta South region. The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the government’s intention to award a contract for these services to West Coast Reduction Ltd. Located at Alberta Processing Co., 7030 Ogden Dale Place SE Calgary, Alberta and Southern Alberta Processing Co., End of 28th Street North, Lethbridge AB. Before awarding a contract, however, the government would like to provide other suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements set out in this Notice, by submitting a statement of capabilities during the 15 calendar day posting period.

The proposed contract is for a period of (1) one year, from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 with an option to extend the contract period for a period of (1) one year, from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
The estimated value of the contract, including the option period, is $112,000.00 (applicable taxes extra).
