DESCRIPTION: This Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO)
request is for the provision of Halal Meat products to various
Correctional Services Canada institutions in Alberta, on an 'as
and when required' basis as per Annex B - Basis of Payment, and
on the Excel sheet attached.
The locations are identified in Annex A
Offerers may provide pricing for one, two, three or four
locations, but pricing must be provided for at least 90% of the
items on a location's list.
One or more Standing offers are anticipated to be issued as a
result of this Request for Standing Offer.
Examples of acceptable Halal certifications or equivalent;
Chicken: Certification of Halal slaughter, World Islamic Mission
Association.
Beef: Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of Canada
IFANCA - Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America
PERIOD OF STANDING Offer: From date of Standing Offer issuance
for a one (1) year period with one (1) year Option Year, with 3
month price refresh periods permitted by the successful
offeror(s).
DELIVERY: CSC DELIVERY. Delivery times & special instruction
Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to
3:00 pm
Security: Please note that there might be a delay entering and
exiting the institutions. The supplier shall ensure that his
staff members carry a proof of identity at all times, or they
will be denied access to the sites. The client may request that
a security check be made on the supplier's delivery staff.
Delivery vehicles will be searched when entering and exiting the
institutions.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
