The Senate of Canada’s Maintenance unit ensures that high standards of cleanliness are applied to the 266,000 square feet occupied by the Senate within the Parliamentary Precinct, and ensures that its facilities and furnishings are kept in good order and in an acceptable state of cleanliness.
A variety of janitorial supplies are required in order to perform the maintenance and upkeep properly. The Contractor will supply the products required as part of programs that will include the related dispensers, WHIMIS training, signage and on-site troubleshooting services. These programs will ensure the products are used properly, thereby improving their effectiveness, reducing waste and improving employee safety.

M1. Corporate Experience:
Bidders must demonstrate that they have, at a minimum, five (5) years of experience within the last eight (8) years, providing janitorial products, in either retail or corporate sales, or both.
To demonstrate experience, the Bidder must, at a minimum, provide the following information:
a) The date of registration or incorporation;
b) The date at which janitorial products sales became part of the business offering; and
c) A description of the different stock levels kept on-site.
Bids MUST meet the mandatory criteria to be considered responsive.
Offers that do not clearly meet all the mandatory requirements set forth in this RFSO and do not attain a minimum of 70% for the requirements which are subject to the evaluation criteria point rating will be disqualified.
The Standing Offer will be issued to the Offeror that offers the best value to the Senate of Canada. Best value is defined as the lowest cost-per-point responsive bid.
The Senate of Canada requires that the manufacturer and/or reseller maintain offices located in Canada.
