Title: Airport Runway Rehabilitation
Location: Port Hardy Airport, Port Hardy, BC

Work Description:
Work under this Contract covers all labour, materials, and
equipment to Rehabilitate Runways and other related works,
including:
Removing or profiling of existing asphalt pavement by rotary
milling;
Removing base material, compacting base and subgrade, and
placing new base material;
Removing road curbs and median, and constructing new curb and
medians;
Asphalt lower course and surface course resurfacing with new hot
mix asphalt concrete;
Adjusting Manholes and Catch Basins heights;
Installing new Corrugated Metal Pipe culverts and culvert ends;
Regrading airside graded areas by scarifying existing, placing
new topsoil, and hydraulic seeding;
Regrading road shoulder areas and areas disturbed by
construction;
Pavement grooving;
Pavement marking;
Constructing and regrading swales;
Adjusting runways, taxiways, and apron edge lights and pullpits.

Site Visit
There will be a site visit on April 4, 2012. Interested bidders
are to meet at the Airport Manager's Office, Port Hardy Airport,
Port Hardy, B.C. Bidders may view the areas of the work site
which are not available to the public between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

The work is to be completed by 30 October 2012.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between
$9,000,000 and $10,000,000.
