The hovercrafts Sipu Muin and Mamilossa are equipped with a fire detection and extinguishing system designed by Griffon Hoverwork Ltd and approved by Transport Canada. In order to maintain a valid navigability certificate, the extinguishing agent containers require to be renewed (every 5 years). The present Request For Proposal is intended to renew the aerosol containers of the existing extinguishing system on board Mamilossa hovercraft. Furthermore, Canada may prevail itself of an order, on an optional basis, of fixed containers of extinguishing agent a second system, for the renewal on board Sipu Muin hovercraft.
