Boiler Replacement - Gulf Fisheries Centre, Moncton, N.B.
Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
for the boiler replacement at the Gulf Fisheries Centre in
Moncton, New Brunswick. The work includes, but is not limited
to, the following: the removal of 3 oil fired boilers and
replacing them with 3 natural gas fired boilers. The natural
gas line has already been installed. As it is anticipated that
this work will occur during the heating season, a temporary oil
fired boiler will be required to be provided. All work is to be
performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for
PWGSC Project Number R.0.62256.001 forming part of the bid
document. The contract completion is sixteen (16) weeks after
contract award.
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on July 23, 2013 at 9:30 am. All interested bidders
are to meet at the main entrance of the Gulf Fisheries Center,
343 Universit Avenue, Moncton, New Brunswick. Although not
mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this
work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all
aspects of the work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation. Please note that this will
be the only site visit for this project. No other site visits
will be arranged during the tender period.
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention.
A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B. The
estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $750,001 - $1,000,000 (HST included).
