Reshingle Roofs - Various Buildings, Nova Institution for Women,
Truro, N.S.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a
requirement to re-shingle roofs at various buildingss at the
Nova Institution for Women located in Truro, Nova Scotia. The
work includes, but is not limited to the following: Removal and
replacement of asphalt roof shingles at Residence # 1 (R1),
Residence # 2 (R2), Residence # 3 (R3), Residence # 4 and
Private Family Visit (PVB). All work is to be performed in
accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project
Numbers R.043945.001 forming part of the bid document. The
contract completion is eight (8) weeks after contract award.
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on February 29th, 2012 at 10:00 am. All interested
bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Nova
Institution for Women in Truro, Nova Scotia. Although not
mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this
work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all
aspects of the work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation. Please note that there is
a security clearance required for this site visit. ALL
interested bidders, regardless of current clearance level, must
submit the Institution Access CPIC Clearance request form
attached as Appendix A of the Invitation to Tender document by
4:00 pm February 13, 2012.
A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.
The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
cost category: $100,000 to $250,000. Standard bid and contract
security for construction is required.

downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Bidders should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
