Roof Replacement - Lacombe, Alberta
Work for this project comprises of repairs replacement of failed
portions of the roof of the Meat Research Laboratory - Building
#14 at the Lacombe Research Centre. The roof areas requiring
replacement are the section with a thermoplastic polyoefin (TPO)
single ply membrane roof system as well as adjacent sections of
standing-seam metal roof which will be affected during
construction. Work shall be in accordance with the Invitation to
Tender, Specifications and Drawings.
Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT
001) contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP)
which consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: Lacombe Research Center - Lacombe,
Alberta
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.
The site visit will be held on: September 4, 2012, at 11:00AM

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting
Authority one (1) day before the scheduled visit to confirm
attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.
Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded
from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Completion Date: 10 weeks after contract issuance.
