Description of the Services
Service provides will be required to:
Provide and install an engine with a design package to replace an existing diesel-electric generator engine at the NWS SRD site. Document and report the performance of the engine;
Procure, adapt, and factory-test the remaining 110 engines for the 36 NWS SRR sites and SRD;
Crate and ship 108 engines to the sealift marshalling points in Montreal and Hay River and two engines to the SRD;
Provide all labour, tools, and where commercially available, travel and accommodations for removal of the existing engines and installation and testing of 108 engines at the 36 SRR sites and of two engines at the SRD;
Provide spare parts for two years as determined during the testing phase at the SRD and in accordance with best practices and manufacturer recommendations;
Provide a minimum one-year warranty on each engine; and
Transfer care, custody, and control of each engine to the NWS O&M Contractor through a testing procedure and acceptance certificate.
The estimated cost of the project is in the range of $12,000,000 to $14,000,000.
