RFP NO. 2026-11: Operational Fuel Treatment (TU-1 Parkland & TU-2 Iron Colt)
The City of Rossland is seeking responses to the following request for proposal: the provision of a fully-equipped, qualified fuel treatment crew (or crews) to carry out operational fuel treatment work across the two Fuel Treatment Units (TU-1 Parkland and TU-2 Iron Colt) described in the City of Rossland IHP-26 Fuel Management Fire Smart Prescription 2026, comprising a combined 9.3 ha (9.2 ha net treatable area).
The project is expected to start in fall of 2026 (when fire danger rating is appropriate for high risk industrial activity and be completed by December 15, 2026.
Proposals marked “RFP NO. 2026-11 – IHP-26 – Operational Fuel Treatment” will be received by the City of Rossland for the provision of fuel treatment contracting services (manual and mechanical fuel reduction, danger tree falling, pruning, and debris abatement/utilization) as described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) and the accompanying City of Rossland IHP-26 Fuel Management Fire Smart Prescription 2026.
An optional Proponent’s Meeting and field tour will be held on September 16 at 10:00 am at Centennial Trailhead Parking. Those attending are required to register with the City of Rossland by sending an email to p••••••@••••••••.ca (Stacey Lightbourne, Manager of Planning and Development). The Proponents’ Meeting will review the overall project specifications, including standards and contract requirements set out in the Prescription.
