Health Canada has a requirement to purchase a next generation
sequencer, a system that can sequence DNA or RNA fragments in a
high throughput fashion in order to provide information on how
an organism responds following exposure to chemicals. This
acquisition will support various research projects under the
Chemicals Management Plan and the Genomics Research and
Development Initiative and contribute to human health risk
assessment of chemicals
