To proivde all labour, materials, tools, equipment,
transportation and supervision necessary to provide
inspection/testing/maintenance and repair of fire alarm and
detection systems at various Department of National Defence
buildings located in Thunder Bay, ON, on a scheduled and "as and
when" requested basis and in accordance with the Statement of
Work at Annex A. The period of the Contract is from April 1,
2012 to March 31, 2013, with Canada retaining the irrevocable
option to extend the Contract for two (2) additional one (1)
year periods.

There is a security requirement associated with this
requirement. For additional information, consult Part 6 -
Security, Financial and Other Requirements, and Part 7 -
Resulting Contract Clauses. Bidders should consult the "Security

Mandatory Site Visit

It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
site visit to be held on Wednesday, 7 March 2012, at 12:30PM
EST, at the Thunder Bay Armoury, 317 Park Street, Thunder Bay,
Ontario. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting
Authority no later than one day before the scheduled visit to
confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who
will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance
form. Bidders should confirm in their bids that they have
attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or send a
representative will not be given an alternative appointment and
their bids will be rejected as non-compliant. Any
clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from
the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
solicitation.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
