Shared Services Canada (SSC) requires a diverse and redundant reliable and fault-tolerant Internet Interconnection Service – NCR Carrier Diversity (IIS-Diversity) that must not share any common facility, path and location with SSC’s existing Internet Interconnection Service provided under Contract # 700284851. The IIS-Diversity will provide SSC with the ability to access the Public Internet to support the delivery of programs and services to Canadians by Government Departments and Agencies. SSC is currently contemplating a contract period of 3 years, plus 2 option periods of 1 year each.
Because Bell Canada provides SSC’s existing IIS SIP, Bell Canada is not eligible to provide the IIS Diversity SIP. As a result, Bell Canada cannot become a Qualified Respondent in relation to this ITQ.
This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ), 10046134 process is not a solicitation of bids or tenders. No contract will be awarded as a result of the activities during the ITQ phase. Canada reserves the right to cancel any of the preliminary requirements included as part of the Project at any time during the ITQ phase or any other phase of the procurement process. Given that the ITQ process may be partially or completely cancelled by Canada, it may not result in any of the subsequent procurement processes described in this document. Respondents and Qualified Respondents may withdraw from the procurement process at any time. Therefore, suppliers who submit a response can choose not to bid on any subsequent solicitation.
