As part of the development of a new tool for procuring
conference interpretation services in the official languages and
parliamentary interpretation services for the Translation Bureau
Introduction
The Acquisitions Branch (AB) of Public Works and Government
Services Canada (PWGSC) and the Translation Bureau (the Bureau)
have begun engagement activities with a view to developing a new
tool for procuring conference interpretation services in the
official languages and parliamentary interpretation services for
the Translation Bureau.
The first engagement activity, the information Webinar
entitled"Doing Business with the Government of Canada," was held
on Friday, November 14, 2014.
The AB and the Bureau are getting ready to begin the second
engagement activity: initial industry meetings, which will take
place April 13-17, 2015.
Initial industry meetings
The AB and the Bureau are organizing a series of meetings for
suppliers of conference interpretation services in official
languages and Parliamentary interpretation services,
universities offering conference interpretation programs and
representatives of professional associations.

individuals who wish to attend one of these meetings must read
the documents located at the bottom of this page.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
