The objective of this project is to obtain data to use in determining relationships between various properties for light-duty vehicle tires. A sample of randomly selected tire models will be tested for rolling resistance, wet traction, composition, and other traction parameters. Results of these tire properties will help support Natural Resources Canada’s tire fuel efficiency consumer information program, as well as Transport Canada’s motor vehicle safety efforts.
