Canada has an initial requirement for a commercially available
Application Virtualization Software Solution (the "Software
Solution"). The Software Solution will provide Canada with the
ability to create, store, manage and distribute Virtual
Applications using an application virtualization software.

This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement
of the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces for an
Application Virtualization Software Solution (AVSS). It is
intended to result in the award of a contract for 1 year with
the irrevocable option to extend the Contract by up to 6
additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions.

The AVSS must include Licensed Software, Warranty, Software
Documentation, Maintenance and Support, Optional Licensed
Software and Maintenance and Support, Options to extend the term
of the Contract, and must include Professional Services on an
"as and when requested" basis.

All parts of the Software Solution must be available to the
Client Users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and
operate at all times in accordance with the Statement of
Requirements in the Client's operational environment described
in the bid solicitation. The Software Solution must be available
in English. The term "Client User" refers to the employees of
the Government of Canada, the Minister's office and staff, and
other individuals authorized by the Client to perform services
in relation to the business and affairs of the Client, including
contractors or consultants performing work for the Client from
time to time.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-Chile
Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), the Canada-Peru Free Trade
Agreement (CPFTA), the Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement
(CColFTA), the Canada-Panama Free Trade Agreement (CPanFTA) if
it is in force, and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
