The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to define the
scope, the deliverables and the contractual conditions that
apply to the provision of a Senior Engineer to provide support
services for land tactical communications equipment and to
define DND service requirements for this initiative.
Director Land Command Systems Program Management (DLCSPM 2) -
Land Tactical Communications Equipment Life Cycle Materiel
Management Specialist is responsible for the life cycle
management of the Land Tactical Communication equipment hardware
and software in the Land Forces. A large part of this function
entails engineering and technical support of the Land Command
Support System (LCSS) and equipment used in the land tactical
environment. The LCSS is defined as the tactical radios and
ancillaries (such as filters, antenna, etc), the telephones,
switchboards and tactical fiber-optic cables, tactical
navigation receivers, tactical networks and Iris sub-system
computer network, the semi-rugged Commercial off-the-shelf
(COTS) laptops and tablet Personal Computers (PC) and software
installed in Land Combat vehicles.
The Contractor must provide the services of a Senior Engineer
upon receiving specific authorization per task from Director
Land Command Systems Program Management (DLCSPM 2) using the
TEMS SA - STREAM 2 - Engineering and Related Services.
