The Department of National Defence has a requirement to replace, on an on-going basis, the existing Hand-Held and Vehicle-Mounted Radiation Detection System (RDS) fleets as they become Beyond Economic Repair (BER) or unrepairable due to obsolescence.
In order to fully replace existing capability, the Contractor must provide the following:
-A Vehicle-Mounted system capable of detecting/displaying/recording gamma radiation data (doses and dose rates);
-A Hand-Held system capable of detecting/displaying/recording gamma dose and dose rate;
-Associated hardware required for the support, transport, storage, deployment, use and upkeep of the above;
-Documentation; and
-Training
Solicitation amendment 001 has been raised to clarify that a Bidder may bid on one or both of the RDS Systems (Vehicle-Mounted and/or Hand-Held).
