Nature of Requirements:
1. TITLE:
ROTARY ENGRAVING SYSTEM
2. SECURITY:
There is no security requirement associated with the requirement.
3. REQUIREMENT:
The Department of National Defence, CFB Wainwright, Wainwright, Alberta has a requirement for a rotary engraving system.
The Weapons Section owns the responsibility to perform all engraving projects for CFB Wainwright and its lodging unit. The Weapons Section is currently unable to perform engraving projects for safety reasons. Since there is no adequate ventilation system in the section, DND cannot allow the presence of smoke or any toxic fumes resulting from engraving. To prevent this situation DND requires an exhaust free engraving system in order to safely complete daily tasks.
The Contractor must supply, deliver, install and provide in house training on the equipment. The engraving system must meet the attached minimum specifications.
4. EVALUATION AND SELECTION:
Mandatory evaluation criteria are included in Annex "B" of the solicitation.
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
5. DELIVERY DATE:
Delivery is requested by 2016-03-31.
