The Royal Military College of Canada of the Department of
National Defence (DND) located in Kingston, Ontario, has a
requirement for a mass notification system including design,
installation, maintenance and support, and training as detailed
in Annex A, Statement of Work.
All work should be completed and all deliverables should be
received by September 4, 2012 before the start of the academic
year. However, all work must be completed and all deliverables
must be received no later than November 16, 2012.
The bid solicitation is intended to result in the award of a
contract for a contract period of 1 year, plus 2 one-year
irrevocable options allowing Canada to extend the term of the
contract and maintenance and support period.
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for site
visit to be held on June 6, 2012 at 9:00 AM at the entrance of
the Girouard Building of the Royal Military College of Canada on
3 General Crerar Crescent in Kingston, Ontario. Bidders must
communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 1 day
before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the
names of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required
to sign an attendance form. Bidders should confirm in their bids
that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not
attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative
appointment and their bids will be rejected as non-compliant.
Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting
from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid
solicitation.
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT).
There is no security requirement associated with the requirement.
This requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods
and services.
