Nature of Requirements:
The Correctional Service of Canada’s (CSC) operational environment is unique for its diversity of loca-tions, climate exposures and the physically restrictive construction techniques of penal institutions. Main-taining national security, the safety of staff and offenders alike is CSC’s commitment to the government and public.
CSC has a requirement to acquire two Full Body X-Ray Scanners (hereinafter referred to the ?Scanner?). The Contractor must supply (x2) Full Body X-Ray Scanners including, delivery, installation, registration, training, commissioning, and maintenance.
The Scanner must detect a variety of objects, including but not limited to, the following:
- narcotics;
- guns, knives and other items that can be used as weapons;
- Explosives and supporting components;
- Electronic devices; and
- Precious stones and rare metals, plastics, wood, and ceramics.
