Nature of Requirements:
The Department of National Defence (DND) has an immediate requirement to replace the existing High Frequency (HF) 1 kW radio systems under the 1 kW HF Replacement Project. The project consists of legacy HF radio systems deployed at various DND facilities. The new HF radio systems will be used as a primary means of communication in support of search and rescue, deployed operations and support to domestic emergencies. These HF radio systems will provide voice and data communications to various organizations within DND using primarily Single Sideband (SSB)
3 KHz channels.
