Title: Acquisition of portable global positioning terminals
Request
Request for Standing Offers individual regional to supply
portable terminals for global positioning and packages
associated with these terminals. Packages must afford a
situational awareness of the exact position in real time of each
terminal.
Situational awareness must be obtained through a secure web
interface on the Internet (https) provided and operated by the
offeror. This website should provide a graphical representation
based on topographic maps which will be reflected on the
positioning of mobile terminals. This site provides the
opportunity for the customer to configure certain parameters
associated with portable terminals, such that associating names
to each terminal and the group by subgroups as well as
establishing frequency tables sending positioning.
This website should also provide the ability to query remote
terminals individually for immediate placement. The Offeror
shall provide each representative (identified in Appendix A.2 of
the tender document), a username and a temporary access code to
the website through which the customer can see and configure its
terminals.
Terminals must also be able to receive and forward emails
between simple terminals and to any email address.
The resulting standing offer is intended for the exclusive use
of various units / formations of the Ministry of National
Defence, represented by the section G6 (Communications Systems
and Information) of the Headquarters of the 35th Canadian
Brigade Group ( 35 CBG HQ) in Quebec.
Period
The resulting standing offer will be for a period of 12 months
from the date of issuance and will have an irrevocable option
for Canada to authorize its use for two (2) additional periods
of 12 months each distinct.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
