PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Town of Bonnyville (the “Town”) invites proposals from qualified landscape architecture, urban design, planning, architecture, or multi-disciplinary consulting teams to provide concept design services for the Uptown Town area.
The proposed project is intended to establish a central public gathering place within the Uptown Town Concept that supports community gathering, events, and all-season programming. The design should consider flexible public gathering spaces, plaza layout, and a market space, with future uses that may include community events, outdoor markets, seasonal skating, outdoor performances, and day-to-day public activity.
The services include review of available background information, site and context review, concept development, stakeholder engagement support, preparation of one (1) to three (3) concept options with comparison, refinement of a preferred concept, and preparation of Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 implementation recommendations. Phase 1 would consist of the Library, Pool and Town Square. The intent of this work is to provide a high-level concept plan to guide future budgeting and phased implementation over an anticipated ten (10) to 20-year period.
