Town of Drayton Valley - Request for Proposal - Property Management Services – Affordable Housing Units

with the goal to manage and administer the Town’s affordable housing portfolio of 27 units on behalf of the Town including but not limited to:

• Tenant screening, lease management, and lease renewals for the affordable housing units;
• Rent collection, arrears management, and regular financial reporting to the Town;
• Maintenance coordination and capital planning for the housing portfolio;
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (Alberta) and all other applicable provincial legislation;
• Coordinating social supports and referrals for tenants with complex needs, in cooperation with the Town’s Community Safety and Community Services department;
• Reporting to the Town, through the Chief Administrative Officer, or designate, on a regular basis, as determined by the Town; and
• Ensuring that, in the event of staff absence or turnover, the Proponent’s obligations under the Services Agreement continue to be met by an employee or agent approved by the Chief Administrative Officer or designate.
