Sanitary Forcemain Relocation

Location:

Work Description:
Work under this contract involves the installation of
approximately 400m of new 150mm diameter pipe are related works
and appurtenances, removal and off-site disposal of
approximately 343m of 150mm pipe & an existing forcemain
cleanout structure after both the pipe and cleanout structure
have been abandoned.

The segment of forcemain to be relocated is situated on private
property between the south property line of Kent Institution and
the north boundary of the road allowance for Humphrey Road,
which is a paved public road maintained by the District of Kent.
Both the new and existing forcemain pipe across under McCallum
Ditch, which is an environmentally protected drainage ditch
situated immediately south of the Kent property line.

The objective is to install the new pipe within an existing 9m
wide right-of-way without impacting McCallum Ditch, while
keeping the existing forcemain in operation. Work will be
performed in accordance with the contract schedules within the
scope of work.

Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make enquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.

There will be a site visit on August 19, 2014 at 10:30am PDST.
Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office at Kent
Institution.

Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within six (6) weeks of contract award. Note: The
work of the contract, including but not limited to restoration
and cleanup, and demobilization shall be completed on or before
September 30, 2014.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost between
$250,000.00 - $350,000.00.
