Description of Work:
The IT Engineering and Maintenance section (SIAO) of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) Canada requires a skilled Security Design Specialist in direct support of current DFATD technical C5 Upgrade initiative. The objective of this contract is to provide a foundational infrastructure platform to deliver a secret processing capability for DFATD where responsibility is targeted for Secret “End User Devices”. DFATD will rely on Shared Services Canada to provide the backend infrastructure. The IT Security Specialist will be required to deliver the following:
- Develop, implement and conduct test plans, test procedures and test cases covering, but not limited to, installation, integration, regression, and performance and interoperability testing.
- Test planning and coordination.
- Liaise with the platform developers and with the corporate QA team as well as other IT teams as required.
- Technical support for test lab environment, including management of the configuration and troubleshooting.
- The IT Security Design Specialist will be responsible for the integration testing of desktop solutions for DFATD’s next generation desktop platform.
- Create technical documentation such as Consolidated Support Manuals, Functional Design Documentation, Technical Note, Operational Procedure and concept of Operations.
- Provide status updates as required.
- Provide input to various process and technology working groups.
- The resource will need to transfer acquired knowledge to fulltime staff by providing a full review of all documentation, maintenance and procedural information.
