Nature of Requirements:
Requirement: The Department of National Defence (DND) requires one mobile fitness and exercise container, including the gym equipment.
Background: The 433 Sqn members frequently deploy on exercises and operations. On deployments, most of the time, the training equipment is unavailable or scare, or closer to the flight line when operations makes it more practical to have training equipment closer. In order to maintain and improve our soldiers’ physical fitness, a mobile deployable gym with equipment is required. Thus, an emphasis is placed on transportability of the kit and the ability for all components to fit inside a 10 feet seacan type structure to be transported using a Military Pallet Loading System (PLS) vehicle and a RCAF aircrafts.
Trade Agreement: The requirement is subject to the provisions of the the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
