The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award up to a 3-year service contract with an optional 3 x 1 year extension to Synertech Inc.
Synertec’s Tidal Software is used at the University of Calgary provider of enterprise workload automation solutions that manage the execution of complex workflows across systems, applications, and IT environments. Tidal is also fully integrated with PeopleSoft, the university’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Daily, Tidal processes over 1,600 workflow jobs; 1,400 of those workflows are related to the "students" at UCalgary.
Due to the nature of how this platform is integrated within the institution and the ERP, there is currently no alternative system. UCalgary cannot implement a new system without disruption or requiring additional resources. It is UCalgary’s understanding that Tidal Software is the only system that can meet their requirements
