The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award a 5-year, with optional up to 2-years agreement to EDC Corporation.
EDC Corporations software called AIMS is the current Parking and Ticketing System. EDC Corporations will also be providing migration services (including associated hardware and software) from the existing parking software solution into AIMS.
Currently, AIMS software is deeply embedded in the UCalgary infrastructure. This software system is connected to the other service platforms (outlined in the ACAN) that are being used at the University. The University staff can self-manage website ecommerce system and all operational applications in AIMS. Due to how entrenched AIMS is with users and all the integrations, it would not be practical to move on to another parking and ticketing system. A new system would cause major disruption for all users, as well, UCalgary would have to embed an alternative solution while the new system is running. UCalgary also does not have any additional resources or time to implement a new system. EDC is also the only supplier that provide migration services into their AIMS system.
