The Department of National Defence has a requirement for the supply and delivery of 48 washing machines and 48 dryers. The delivery is to be staggered over a five week period starting with the first delivery date of January 17, 2017. Please refer to Annex A for the complete delivery schedule.
The proposed bidder must meet all mandatory criteria detailed in the Request for Proposal document. Some of the minimum specifications are outlined below. See the full RFP for all mandatory criteria.
A. Washing Machine
i. Heavy Duty Motor and Bearings
ii. 110 Volts
iii. electrical cord must be attached
iv. Extra-large capacity 4.2 Cu. Ft.
v.2 water inlets: one cold water and one hot water
vi. Top load
vii. Stainless steel wash basket
viii. Must have a power wash and power wash agitator to better remove stains.
ix. Exterior colour must be white
B. Electric Dryer
i. Heavy Duty Motorand Bearings
ii. 220 V
iii. electrical cord must be attached
iv. Extra-large capacity 7.0 Cu. Ft.
v. Front load
vi. Sensor which stops dryer when cloths are dry
vii. Wrinkle control option or equivalent
viii. Sanitize cycle
ix. Exterior colour must be white
