Data Sources & Accuracy Policy
Where our tender data comes from, and what you must verify
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Please read this policy before relying on procurement data, tender notices or addenda from tendarix.ca. Bidders remain responsible for verifying every requirement with the issuing authority.
1. Where our data comes from
Tendarix collects, indexes and summarizes procurement notices published by federal, provincial, municipal and institutional bodies in Canada, through:
- Open government data: Notices published under open government licences or public disclosure rules.
- Public feeds and portals: RSS feeds, APIs, data exports and public web pages provided by public buyers.
Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada and the Open Government Licence – Ontario, where those licences apply. Each notice links to its source where one is available.
2. How sources are managed
We keep a register of the sources we ingest, and the active ones are listed on our Coverage page. For each source:
- we review how the data is made available and the terms that apply;
- we aim to follow published robots directives, crawl delays and rate limits; and
- on notice of changed terms, a security concern or a legal dispute from a source, we aim to review and, where warranted, suspend that source within two (2) business days.
Source owners can raise any concern at info@tendarix.ca.
3. Automated processing and accuracy
Tendarix is an automated service. It categorizes notices and uses AI to produce summaries, translations and fit scores, which can contain errors. We do not change the official documents held by the procuring authority. We do not guarantee that information on tendarix.ca is accurate, complete, timely or error-free, or that every Canadian tender is included.
4. Third-party source material and addenda
Closing dates, submission locations, mandatory site visits, specifications, budget ranges and addenda are set and maintained solely by the issuing organization.
- Addenda and amendments: Issuing authorities can update, amend or cancel tenders without advance notice, and those changes may reach Tendarix late or not at all.
- Official documents govern: If information on tendarix.ca differs from the official tender documents, the official documents always prevail.
5. Your duty to verify
By using tendarix.ca, you agree that you will independently verify all critical deadlines, qualifications and document requirements with the issuing organization before preparing or submitting a bid. Tendarix’s liability for reliance on Platform information, including missed opportunities or disqualified submissions, is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
6. Permitted use of the data
Subscribers receive a non-exclusive licence to view tender summaries and source links on tendarix.ca for internal business use. You may not re-scrape, resell or systematically extract data from Tendarix, as our Terms of Service explain. Underlying notices remain subject to the rights and licence terms of their publishers.
