Nature of Requirements:
Nitrogen Analyzer
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Guelph Food Research Centre,
Guelph, Ontario has a requirement for the supply, delivery, and
on-site installation of one (1) new and unused automated
nitrogen analyzer for determining the protein content of samples
based on the DUMAS combustion method of analysis, to Agriculture
and Agri-Food Canada, Guelph Food Research Centre, located in
Guelph, Ontario. The requirement also includes on-site training
at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Guelph, Ontario.
The Nitrogen Analyzer must have the following minimum
specifications and features:
Must conform to Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC)
International standards for nitrogen
analysis using the DUMAS combustion method;
Must measure nitrogen in samples 30 mg to 500 mg in size, and
down to 0.04 mg nitrogen;
Must have an autosampler that is suitable for unattended
operation;
Must be self-contained (no fume hood required); and
Physical size must be equal to or less than 77 cm length, 71 cm
high and 76 cm depth (not including gas
cylinders, computer and monitor)

Request for Proposal.
Delivery, installation and training must be completed before
March 28, 2014.
