Description of the requirement:
The successful vendors’ resources will be assigned directly to the applicable project team, reporting directly to the respective Technical Authority for task assignment and follow-up.
Each resource has a specific skillset that will assist IC in meeting its existing project commitments and ensuring successful and timely delivery of project milestones.
Engagements with a specific resource will be initiated and governed by a Task Authorization that will identify the major tasks and deliverables of that engagement.
2.1 RESOURCE CATEGORIES
It is anticipated that during the course of the engagement, the successful bidder will provide the resources proposed under the following categories on an as and when requested basis.
2 Systems Analyst (A.8), Level 3
1 Technology Architect (I.11), Level 3
2.2 KEY ACTIVITIES
It is expected that during the term of the resulting contract that proposed resources will perform some, or all of the following tasks:
Systems Analyst (1.8), Level 3, tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop requirements, feasibility, and cost, design, and specification documents for systems.
- Implement systems to support projects, departments, organizations or businesses.
- Translate business requirements into systems design and specifications.
- Analyse and recommend alternatives and options for solutions.
- Develop technical specifications for systems development, design and implementation.
- Develop technical plans, deployment options and execute deployment activities.
Technology Architect (3.11), Level 3, tasks may include but, are not limited to:
- Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements.
- Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution.
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
- Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions.
- Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology.
- Provide information, direction and support for emerging technologies.
- Perform impact analysis of technology changes.
- Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure.
- Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements.
- Provide deployment leadership for solution deployment.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on complex technology and implementation activities and issues.
3.0 DELIVERABLES
Individual, project specific deliverables will be defined at time of Task Authorization. Deliverables requested may include, but are not limited to:
- Business, functional and technical requirements documents
- Options analysis
- Deployment plans
- Gap analysis
- Application packages
- Remediated applications
- Technical architectures
- Technology evaluations
- Status reports
Proposed period of contract:
The proposed period of contract shall be from Contrat award to March 31, 2014
Option Period 1: From April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015. End date subject to change at contract award period.
