Department of National Defence has a requirement for the supply
and delivery of 2/0-19 MBCU 15KV 175MIL XLP 20x12 PJKT CSA
Primary Cable MOQ 3000 Meters (electrical cable) to the BCE
Municipal Services Section. All the deliverables must be
received on or before March 21, 2014.
The proposed bidders must meet all mandatory criteria detailed
in the Request for Proposal document.
Some of the mandatory criteria are provided below. Refer to the
Request for Proposal for the complete list.
M1. The bidder must provide documentation demonstrating that
their proposed 2/0-19 MBCU 15KV 175MIL XLP 20x12 PJKT CSA
Primary Cable MOQ 3000 Meters (electrical cable) meets the
following minimum specifications:
Conductor: Class "B" stranded, annealed, bare copper that is
covered with a semiconducting material;
Insulation: Cross-linked Polyethylene (TR-XLP);
Insulation Shield: Extruded semi-conducting material;
Concentric Neutral: Annealed Bare Copper spirally applied over
the insulation shield;
Overall Jacket: Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE);
Standards: Tested in accordance with AEIC CS8 and ICEA S-94-649;
Temperature: 90 degrees Celsius;
68" wood reel;
Must be manufactured in accordance with the latest editions of
the following references:
CAN/CSA 68.8 Canadian Electrical Code, and all local amendments;
Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
