Title: ACTIVE DRY ELECTRODE EEG HEADSET SYSTEM

1. Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN)
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.

2. Definition of Requirement
Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Toronto Research Centre (DRDC-TRC) requires two EEG headsets.
The proposed equipment must use active dry sensors that shield against electromagnetic interference and are resistant to motion artifacts. These features are critical because the EEG headsets will be used on participants who are ambulating in cognitively demanding environments. Importantly, the data quality from active dry electrode EEG headsets must be comparable to conventional wet electrode and wired systems. The EEG headsets and data analysis software must adhere to the specific criteria outlined in this document in order for DRDC to conduct experiments and perform data analysis comparable to studies from North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries. This will enable DRDC to compare findings and potentially pool data with NATO allies to perform larger studies.

3. Criteria for assessment of the Statement of Capabilities (Minimum Essential Requirements)

Any interested suppliers must demonstrate by way of a statement of capabilities that meets each of the following requirements under section 3.1.
