This amendment is raised to answer questions received from
potential bidders and modify the Purchase Description as follows:
1. Questions and Answers
Question 1
In the purchase description for Loader, Skid Steer Section 1.1
Scope it describes a tracked type compact loader. And in section
3.12 Tires, it requires Tires with L-2 tread design.
Please advise.
Answer 1
The requirement is for a Skid Steer. Section 1.1 of the Purchase
Description has been amended to read the following: "This
purchase description covers the requirements for multiple
configurations of a skid steer loader"
Question 2
If you look at the purchase description under Scope, 1.1, it
states:
This purchase description covers the requirements for multiple
configurations of a tracked type compact loader.
Under section 3.12, Tires, it says :
Tires with L-2 treads or equivalent shall be provided.
My question is, are they looking for a tracked type unit or a
wheeled type unit as they are two different types of machines?
Any clarification would be much appreciated.

The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase
three (3) Loader, Skid Steer and ancillary items, including
familiarization instruction/training, in accordance with the
Purchase Description for Loader, Skid Steer, dated 2013-10-01,
and as described at Annex A - Pricing. The Loader, Skid Steer
are to be delivered at CFB Winnipeg Dundurn Detachment, CFB ASU
Edmonton and CFB ASU Wainwright by March 14, 2014.
The requirement includes an option to purchase up to three (3)
Loader, Skid Steer and ancillary items to be exercised within
twelve (12) months from the effective date of the contract.
Debriefings
After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the
results of the bid solicitation. Bidders should make the request
to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of
receipt of notification that their bid was unsuccessful. The
debriefing may be provided in writing, by telephone or in person.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
