REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR X-RAY BAGGAGE SCANNERS
This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI will not result in the
award of any contract.
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has a requirement to install
and/or replace x-ray scanners for the detection of contraband
used at a number of its federal correctional facilities. These
Scanners are used to scan packages and material entering the
Institution for contraband substances and items. The current
RFI is to obtain feedback from industry so that CSC can better
define their requirement in preparation for a potential
solicitation. This feedback will ensure that CSC's requirement
is consistent with industry standards.
Any information submitted to Canada in response to this Request
for Information may be used by Canada in the development of a
subsequent competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) and/or Request
for Standing Offer (RFSO).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
