OBJECTIVE:
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) acquires the services of a Contractor to provide a Bilingual, On-line Green Defensive Driver Training Course “as and when required” that will equip AAFC drivers with the skills for operating vehicles safely.
BACKGROUND:
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has a large fleet of approximately 1200 vehicles and it is anticipated that up to 700 users consisting of full-time, part-time employees and students across the country will need to register for training each year. It is important that the Department be able to offer a training mechanism in Defensive Driving practices and techniques in order to equip our drivers with the skills required to operate our vehicles safely, protecting both the driver and the public asset. At the same time, we wish to ensure that the course material be standard and consistent for all users across Canada.
SERVICES:
The services required are detailed in the RFP document, Appendix B. AAFC anticipates to award a contract for April 1, 2014 for one (1) year with an Option to Extend for up to three (3) option years.
