REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - MARGINAL TERRAIN VEHICLES

The Department of National Defence (DND) intends to procure
approximately 22 Marginal Terrain Vehicles (MTV) for use by the
Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) worldwide. The objective of this
Request for Information (RFI) is to share DND's requirement and
seek feedback from Industry on potential options to meet CAF
needs and associated capability, schedule and cost. This is the
first step of an Industry Engagement process where the MTV
project will be seeking initial input on availability of
technology, ability for industry to deliver and cost estimates
for the initial acquisition of the required MTV capability.
Information received from Industry will be critical to refine
MTV planning documents and cost tables.
The intent, following receipt of RFI responses from Industry, is
to have interactive engagement with Industry throughout the
project phases leading to the Request for Proposal (RFP).
This is not a bid solicitation, and no contract will result from
this RFI.
Requirements are subject to change, which may be as a result of
information provided in response to this RFI. Potential
respondents are advised that any information submitted to Canada
in response to this RFI may, or may not be used by Canada in the
development of a subsequent competitive RFP.
The issuance of this RFI does not create an obligation for
Canada to issue a subsequent RFP, and does not bind Canada
legally or otherwise, to enter into any agreement or to accept
or reject any suggestions.
There will be no short listing or pre-qualification of firms for
purposes of undertaking any future work as a result of this RFI.
Similarly, participation in this RFI process is not a condition
or prerequisite for participation in any RFP.
Companies responding to this RFI should identify any submitted
information that is to be considered as either company
confidential, proprietary or if the response contains controlled
goods.
All inquiries and other communications related to this RFI shall
be directed exclusively to the PWGSC Contracting Authority.
Entities that intend to respond to this RFI are requested to
advise the PWGSC Contracting Authority of their intention to
respond, so they may be notified of any changes to the notice on
Buyandsell.gc.ca, which may occur during the posting period.
